Press Line Tech (PLT) (2nd shift- 3pm-11:30pm)
Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Complete die changes by obtaining die from rack, gathering necessary tools and completing the change as instructed by work instructions to include material changes.
- Perform minor troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment including but not limited to: press machine, winder, inspection systems, rotarians, etc.
- Perform quality inspections per work instructions.
- Identify and report abnormal per the Abnormal Rule.
- Complete required paperwork (ex. Die trouble report, production report, etc.)
- Assist other Set-Ups during slow periods.
- Report defective materials, die problems or questionable conditions to the department Coordinator or Supervisor.
- Maintain the work area/equipment in a clean/ orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Operate forklift to move materials/scrap in and out of the metal stamping area
- Monitor assigned Stamping machines and perform required inspections.
- Tape, label and complete final boxing of finished goods and place on skid for QA approval.
- Complete required paperwork (ex. Press Line Check Sheet, Operator Check Sheet, Production Reports, etc.).
- Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- You must wear all required PPE (ex. bump caps, safety toe shoes, safety glasses) and other PPE items that situations, locations or tasks may dictate (ex. Masks, ear plugs, harness, gloves, aprons, etc.).
- Pass Set-Up test.
- Will be required to pass Entry Level, Level I and Level II Skill evaluations within 18 months.
- Must maintain Skill Level II to stay in Set-Up position.
- Pass vision screening.
- Physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of materials (25 - 35 lbs.)
- Walk, stand, lift, bend and reach regularly.
- Ability to obtain forklift and stand-up lift certification.
